PRESS RELEASE
Singapore (20 May, 2016) – Boutique Swiss private bank Bordier & Cie (Bordier) hosted a successful networking event in a joint partnership with online portal E-Merging and financial news site Finews.asia.
The event marked the celebration of the on-going partnerships between the three Swiss-based companies that have now extended into Asian shores. Though Bordier officially opened its Asian headquarters in February 2011, E-Merging and Finews.asia are just making their first foray into Asia, with the latter launching its Asian site earlier this year. The partnership signals the firms’ commitment to expanding their outreach and offering to a more diverse audience.
Toasting to the future of their partnerships, Olivier Collombin, founder of E-Merging, and Claude Baumann, editor of Finews, expressed excitement about their presence in Asia to a crowd of over 150 people that gathered on the garden terrace of Bordier’s office at CapitaGreen. Evrard Bordier, managing partner and CEO of Bordier & Cie, Singapore, addressed the guests with a closing speech for the evening. Mr Bordier said, “We are very happy with tonight’s turnout and hope to do similar partnerships and events with present and future partners.”
Mr Bordier is the fifth generation descendant of the bank’s founding family, along with brothers Grégoire and Gaetan who are based in the Geneva headquarters. The event on 19 May served as the inaugural networking event hosted on Bordier’s premises.
